Los Alamos wrestler Brian Geyer was named to the All-Tournament Team at this weekend’s Moriarty Pinto Duals.
Geyer, competing in the 160-pound weight class, won all five of his bouts at Saturday’s Pinto Duals, the only wrestler from Los Alamos to go undefeated at the tournament.
The Hilltoppers finished seventh in the 10-team tournament, which was won by Rio Grande. Geyer was the only Hilltopper picked for the All-Tournament Team.
Los Alamos will make its first home appearance of the season Wednesday when it hosts a duals meet. Rio Rancho — a combination of varsity and sub-varsity wrestlers — along with Albuquerque Academy, Pecos and the Hilltoppers’ District 2AAAA rival, Capital, are expected at Wednesday’s meet.
