The agenda for Tuesday night’s county council work session will be light. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the White Rock Town Hall.

There are only two items slated for the business agenda. The first is the approval of golf course fee increases for the 2009-2010 season.

The fee increase will affect everything from season passes, daily fees and rentals to green fee punch cards, season cart rentals and driving range punch cards. Rentals of pull carts and club rentals will not be affected by the rate increase. In addition, club storage and small locker club storage also will not see a fee increase. Private cart trail fees, private cart rider fees (9-holes, as well as 18-holes) will also remain the same as they were in 2008.

The second business item is acceptance of the Regional Economic Development Strategic Plan. The plan is the result of one of the projects of the county’s Progress Through Partnering initiative. That initiative was started in 2006 to utilize some of the county’s financial resources to work with partner governments across the region on projects that would augment the county’s goals and improve circumstances across the region.

Also on Tuesday, council will vote on appointing Maria Wolfe and Peter Sheehey to the Board of Adjustment. They will also vote on appointing Boyd Moffett to the White Rock Master Plan Implementation Advisory Committee.

The last item on the agenda has to do with approving the amended Charter for the Council State Legislative/Regional Committee. At the March 3 council meeting, councilors approved the Charter for the Council State/Legislative Regional Committee. However, it was requested that additional information be added under the regional activities that would reflect the recently adopted council strategic goal number three titled “Strengthen coordination and cooperation between LANL and the regional community.”
