Teen Pulse staff members Owen Bradbury Aranda and Elizabeth Hjelvik asked students, “What do you think about gun control?”
“Controlling guns is not a good idea. Our founding fathers had an idea when they created the Second Amendment, and when we start messing with their ideas, it isn’t good. Countries like Mexico have bans on weapons, but they don’t do any better than we do with respect to gun violence.” —Micah Church, sophomore
“Assault weapons should definitely not be readily available, but gun owners should not have their rights restricted due to crimes committed by other people.” —Emily McClenahan, senior
“Basic reform should be achieved with at least, assault weapons.” —Danielle Prokop, junior
“They should make laws that restrict the use of military weapons.” —Isabelle Runde, freshman
