Visitors to this year’s Winterfest activities downtown on Saturday are invited to stop by the Community Building and view the current County projects at the design or construction stage. The Boyer Company will also have a table with the most recent site plans for The Trinity Place, a mixed-use lifestyle center planned for the Trinity site that currently houses county and schools’ facilities. In a little over a year, the majority of those functions will be moving to the County’s Airport Basin Site north of De Colores restaurant and the current structures will be demolished to clear the site in preparation for its redevelopment.
County staff from the Public Works and Utilities’ departments will join staff from the Parks and Environmental Services division at Saturday’s open house. They’ll have posters, drawings, and other information on display for over a dozen projects and will be available to answer questions. Refreshments will be served and there will be a prize wheel for children to play and win prizes. Citizens can stop by the open house before, during or after the Holiday Lights parade on nearby Central Avenue, which begins at 6 p.m., followed by the “Lighting of the Trees” at Ashley Pond Park.
