* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS AS HIGH AS 6 TO 10 INCHES ABOVE 8000 FEET... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO 15 INCHES ABOVE 9000 FEET IN THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING... PERIODS OF SNOW ABOVE 8000 FEET WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING WITH PRECIPITATION DECREASING IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.

* WINDS... NO SIGNIFICANT WINDS ARE EXPECTED TODAY.

* SNOW LEVELS... AROUND 8000 FEET.

* LOCAL IMPACTS... HIGH TERRAIN ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW PACKED AND ICY. SOME ROADS OVER THE HIGH TERRAIN MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE.

IN ADDITION... SNOW AND BITTERLY COLD TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO IMPACT THE NORTHEASTERN PLAINS OF THE STATE WITH A WINTRY MIX OF FREEZING RAIN... SLEET... AND SNOW FALLING OVER PARTS OF THE EAST CENTRAL PLAINS THIS MORNING. PRECIPITATION WILL DECREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF NEW MEXICO BEFORE THE AFTERNOON... BUT ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS IN THE EASTERN PLAINS WILL ALLOW TREACHEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS TO PERSIST TOWARD DUSK.
