* LOCATION... THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY... THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS... THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU AND SURROUNDING HIGHLANDS... AS WELL AS THE SAN FRANCISCO RIVER VALLEY AND THE UPPER TULAROSA VALLEY.

* WINDS... SOUTHWEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.

* TIMING... WINDS WILL INCREASE AROUND NOON AND WILL PEAK FROM MID AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS BEFORE DIMINISHING AROUND AND AFTER SUNSET.

* VISIBILITY... LOCALLY REDUCED BELOW 1 MILE IN DUST PRONE AREAS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS... STRONG CROSS WINDS WILL IMPACT WEST TO EAST AND NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST ORIENTED ROADWAYS. HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WILL FIND TRAVEL DIFFICULT ON MOST HIGHWAYS.

A POTENT UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE TRAVERSING THE GREAT BASIN MONDAY WILL COMBINE WITH DEEPENING SURFACE LOW PRESSURE OVER EASTERN COLORADO TO PRODUCE WIDESPREAD STRONG WINDS OVER NEW MEXICO. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR OVER MUCH OF THE WESTERN... CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST HIGH TERRAIN AND ADJACENT PLAINS.
