For the third year in a row, White Rock Presbyterian Church will host Sitters for Shoppers from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 12 at the church.

Children ages two through fourth grade will enjoy a variety of activities, crafts, games and videos while under the care of adults from the church. Lunch and snacks will also be provided.

“Sitters for Shoppers is our way of being a good neighbor,” said Mary Medendorp, coordinator of the program. “As parents ourselves, we understand how even a short break can help parents cope with the many holiday ‘to-dos’ on their lists.

Sitters for Shoppers gives them an opportunity to finish a few of these without the added stress of finding childcare.”

The Sitters for Shoppers had a large turnout last year and participants and volunteers said they had a lot of fun with the craft projects and games.

Space is limited, so parents must register their children for the program by Monday by calling 672-0154, 672-9410 or 672-3682.

The White Rock Presbyterian Church is located at 310 Rover Blvd.
