What's in a name?

I think I remember, when I was a kid, calling it “Rainbow” Bridge. I don’t recall it being “Omega” bridge. Maybe it was, but here’s the thing: What do the words “rainbow” and “omega” signify and imply? What are the emotional connotations of each?
