The Little Forest Playschool annual Fall Resale will be from 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 23 at the Crossroads Bible Church, 97 East Road.
“The new location will be a real convenience,” said chair Vivian Westfall. “This is a big event and we’ll have room to expand and spread out.”
Westfall said the Spring Resale had 120 volunteers and she expects that many for the Fall Resale.
“It takes volunteers to make this event happen and the community wants it to happen,” she said.
Volunteers are needed on both, Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 to help with setup, sorting, checkout and cleanup. Volunteer sign-up is now available online at littleforestplayschool.org/resale and at the school, 3880 Villa Street, during office hours.
The benefits of volunteering include early shopping privileges on Friday, the evening prior to the public sale.
The school hosts a Resale in the spring and in the fall, so shoppers can find infant and children’s items for the season. The Fall Resale will feature infant and children’s clothing (up to size 14), footwear, swimwear and sports gear. There are also toys, games, books, CDs and DVDs for children.
The Fall Resale inventory will also include women’s wear and accessories in the “just for moms” room. Other sale items include baby furniture, including cribs, dressers, changing tables, playpens, high chairs, car seats, strollers and other nursery and toddler items.
Anyone can sell children’s items at the sale by going to the resale Web site and clicking on “seller info” for guidelines, inventory sheets and tags. All sellers need a seller ID number, which they can get by either e-mailing the resale chair at resale@littleforestplayschool.org or calling Little Forest Playschool office at 662-5895. Tags and pins may also be purchased at the school for a nominal fee.
Sellers earn 70 percent of their sales and the balance benefits children’s programs at Little Forest Playschool. Items may also be donated to Little Forest by dropping off at the school anytime before Oct. 20. For more information about the Resale, visit www.littleforestplayschool.org/resale.
