Volleyball loses to Piedra Vista, splits with Centennial

The Los Alamos Hilltopper volleyball team went 1-3 in pool play Thursday morning at the state Class 4A tournament.
Los Alamos lost both sets to Piedra Vista, the tournament's No. 1 seed, by scores of 25-15, 25-18. Against Las Cruces Centennial, Los Alamos lost the first set 25-20, but bounced back to win the second set 25-14.
The Hilltoppers will play an elimination match at 3 p.m. Their opponent hasn't yet been determined.
