The Los Alamos Hilltopper volleyball team picked up its third straight District 2AAAA shutout Saturday.
Los Alamos topped the Capital Jaguars Saturday night at Edward Ortiz Gymnasium, completing a sweep of the first half of its district season.
With the 3-0 win, Los Alamos upped its district mark to 4-0.
Los Alamos has now won three of its four district contests by way of shutout.
The Hilltoppers are off until Saturday, when they play at Bernalillo, the one team that pushed them past three games. The Spartans won sets one and three at Griffith Gymnasium in the teams’ first meeting Sept. 29, but the Hilltoppers were able to come back to take a 3-2 victory.
Los Alamos (11-5) has now won 10 straight matches, 11 straight sets and 26 of its last 28 sets.
