A pair of former Los Alamos Hilltopper volleyball players will take their game to the next level.

Los Alamos seniors Vanessa Espinoza and Kristina Little signed National Letters of Intent to play college volleyball this week.

Espinoza, who played at the libero position for the Hilltoppers during the 2007 season, signed to play for Eastern New Mexico University earlier this week.

Little, the teams middle blocker, signed to play at St. Petersburg College in Florida.

Both Little and Espinoza were named to the All-State Class AAAA second team this season. They helped Los Alamos post a 15-10 record, win the District 2AAAA tournament and advance to the AAAA playoff semifinals.

ENMU is a Division II school located in Portales.

The ENMU Zias play in the Lone Star Conference.

The Zias struggled last season, going 4-25, 0-11 in LSC play.

St. Petersburg College’s Titans compete in the Suncoast Conferece of the Florida Community College Activities Association.

The Titans finished the 2007 season with a 16-9 record under head coach Scott White.
