Linda Vance was the fastest runner and had the best prediction at this week’s Atomic City Roadrunners’ Pace Race.
The Pace Race was Tuesday along the dirt road in lower Pueblo Canyon.
Vance, running on the 1-mile course, finished in 7 minutes, 36 seconds, and was just 42 seconds off her predicted finish time.
Jennifer Leon, who had the second-best prediction of the race, was also the top finisher on the 3-mile course. Leon clocked a 28:22.
Jim Clifford, with an 87-second error and Bob Reedy with a 99-second error were also among the top predictors.
The next Pace Race will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. The race will start near the Mountain Meadows Playlot near Chamisa School and run on Cañada del Buey trail.
