Jennifer Mooday and Daniel Roybal were among the top finishers on the day for the Los Alamos Hilltopper cross country teams.
Los Alamos' cross country squads took part in the La Cueva scrimmage meet Saturday. The teams officially open their season this weekend at the University of New Mexico Invitational.
Mooday finished second in the girls race with her time of 20 minutes, 38 seconds, two slots and 12 seconds ahead of teammate Emily Pittman.
In the boys race, Roybal led a trio of Hilltoppers in the three through five slots with his time of 17:05. Tim Wermer and Zach Breshears finished immediately behind Roybal.
Six Hilltopper girls finished in the top 10, as did an equal number of boys.
