Toys for Tots
Help the U.S. Marines by donating new, unwrapped toys for their toy drive. Items may be dropped off at “R” wing of Los Alamos High School, in the NJROTC building by Dec. 3.
Free luminaria sand
Each year, the Los Alamos County Pavement division provides free luminaria sand as a courtesy to residents. Sand is now available at these locations: in the south parking lot in Overlook Park, in the parking area in Urban Park off 42nd Street, the west side of the parking lot in Sullivan Field, at the end of Barranca Road at Navajo on Barranca Mesa and at the north end of the soccer field parking lot on North Mesa.
Residents are asked to limit the amount of sand taken to the amount needed for their holiday luminarias.
