Festival of Trees

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. The festive fun includes; free pictures with Santa, an arts and crafts fair, a silent auction of more than 60 holidays trees, wreaths, ornaments and quilts and so much more.


The Los Alamos County Council will hold a work session at noon Friday at White Rock Fire Station No. 3.


For more than 50 years, Los Alamos Chapter No. 63, Order of Eastern Star, has sold Collin Street Bakery holiday fruitcakes in Los Alamos. This year the chapter will continue that tradition by selling fruitcakes, as well as apricot pecan and pineapple pecan cakes, 2-6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 29, in the Los Alamos National Bank lobby in Los Alamos. Future sale dates are 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and Fridays, Dec. 13 and 20. Contact Judy Goldie, 662-3797.

APP meeting

The Los Alamos County Art in Public Places Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in council chambers in the Municipal Building.

Author's Speak

7 p.m. today, Mesa Public Library, upstairs rotunda. Don Usner, author and photographer will discuss his work for the Lannan Foundation’s Readings and Conversations Series.
