Cable replacement begins Monday

The Dept. of Public Utilities’ contractor Parker Construction begins work Monday to dig 1,100 feet of trenching along the east side of 4th Street between Central and Canyon. The project scope includes the replacement of direct bury cable and the installation of conductors and transformers. The work is slated to continue through October and November.
Council meeting
The Los Alamos County Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the White Rock Fire Station 3. Major items on the agenda include a petition regarding the Municipal Building and a proposed draft of a new nuisance code ordinance.

FAN meeting
All local chamber of commerce members and prospective members are invited to attend the FAN Club from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Aspen Ridge, 1010 Sombrillo Court. The event provides an opportunity to network with other chamber members and enjoy refreshments.
