Hay rides

The LAC Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Division’s Sunset Hayrides are back on for Oct. 19. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Walkup Aquatic Center for the 4-5 p.m. rides. Contact the Recreation Division at 662-8170 for additional information.

Leader lunch

The League of Women Voter’s, Lunch with a Leader will feature Susan O’Leary and the Charter Review Committee on the Department of Public Utilities at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 15 at Mesa Public Library. To order a lunch from the Co-op for $10, contact Karyl Ann Armbruster at 661-6605 or kaskacayman@gmail.com before Oct. 13.

What's up doc?

Assets In Action and the Children’s Clinic have teamed up for free community presentations. The first will take place at 6 p.m., Oct. 15 at the White Rock Branch Library. The main presentation on Sports Injury Prevention and Nutrition by Dr. Ben Neal, will be followed by a brief question and answer session. For additional information, call or text 505-695-9139.

NCRTD

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD “Blue Buses” will not be in service on Monday in observance of the Columbus Day holiday.
