The Environmental, Technology and Energy Business Association (ETEBA) presented a $3,000 check to the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos campus during the Director’s Council meeting Oct. 19 at UNM-LA.
The money will be awarded by UNM-LA in the form of scholarships for students pursuing careers in technology.
The president of ETEBA’s Southwest Chapter Paul Terp presented the check to UNM-LA’s Executive Director Dr. Cedric Page and to the Associate Director of Student Services Pat Boyer.
Page welcomed ETEBA representatives to the meeting and expressed delight and gratitude at receiving the check on behalf of the University.
“I spoke at ETEBA’s quarterly meeting about our college programs,” Page said, “about how they could help to support students – by providing internships, serving on advisory committees and so forth, and I was delighted to get a call from Paul.”
The UNM-Los Alamos Director’s council is a group of department heads and UNM staffers who meet monthly to coordinate and plan for the college’s operations.
The Environmental, Technology and Energy Business Association (ETEBA) is a national organization of businesses that provide technical resources to the national laboratories.
