UNM-Los Alamos announces its first courses as a member of the Microsoft IT Academy Program. UNM-LA is the only organization in northern New Mexico that offers Microsoft Official Curriculum Courses.
“UNM-LA offers these courses at extremely competitive package pricing, along with many extras,” Program Coordinator Gary Garrett said.
Exam vouchers for certification exams (accepted by Prometric testing centers) are included in the package. See the website for a full list of package extras.
The courses will be offered in a unique 10-week format beginning February 1, said Garrett.
Courses will meet one day a week (Wednesday) for eight hours. The courses to be offered are: Installing and Configuring Windows 7 client (6292A) and Managing Windows 7 Desktop Deployments and Environments (6294A).
The courses are offered back to back to leverage common technologies.
The first certification exam (70-680, MCTS: Windows 7) will be scheduled during the fourth week and the second certification exam (70-686, the MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7) during week 10.
The Microsoft IT Academy is designed to keep IT professionals up to date on the latest Microsoft technologies and to prepare students for Microsoft Certification exams.
