Closure on the Trinity Development Project is getting near. During a briefing to the Los Alamos Board of Education Thursday, Superintendent James Anderson said the committee met last week that Los Alamos Assistant County Administer Tony Mortillaro assembled to provide him input on the agreement with Boyer.“It looks like (the county is) getting quite close on getting an agreement with Boyer,” Anderson said. Both Anderson and school board member Joan Ahlers said they do not anticipate any major changes to the documents between the county and the district.“Once the development sublease is done, we’ll have an executive session and have our attorney John Kennedy there to help us understand,” Ahlers said. “Then we’ll have an open meeting and a final meeting and vote.”The board still hopes to get community input and answer any lingering question that might be out there. Board President Alison Beckman reminds the public that the district website has a form to submit questions about the project. That form can be accessed at www.laschools.net.In other action, the board approved 5-to-0 standard budget transactions presented by LAPS District Business Director John Wolfe.District lobbyist Scott Scanland was scheduled to appear during the work session portion of Thursday’s school board meeting.
