TOTH presents 'The Shepherd's Story'

The community is invited to share in the nativity story with the younger members of Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church at 5 p.m. Saturday.  
“The Shepherd’s Story” is the title of this year’s seasonal musical to be staged, sung and choreographed by children and teens ages five to 15.
“The Shepherd’s Story” by Hal H. Hopson, is a 20-minute musical adaptation of the story of the birth of Jesus, as told in the Gospel of St. Luke.
It opens with the announcement of the decree from Caesar Augustus that all people must register for the census so they can pay their taxes to Rome.
Following the appearance of the angels on a hillside outside Bethlehem, a young shepherd, Malawk and four of his friends take the congregation on a journey to Bethlehem to see the newborn baby Jesus.
Of course, no Christmas story would be complete without angels, Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus.
The acting and singing roles will be played by the younger children, many of whom are also members of the Trinity on the Hill Youth Choir. The older choristers lead the singing by the younger cast members, having helped construct the scenery, and will be assisting behind the scenes during the presentation.
