The Los Alamos Hilltopper baseball team picked up wins in both ends of Friday’s District 2-4A doubleheader.

Los Alamos needed just five innings in both games of its district twinbill to down the Capital Jaguars.

In the first game, Los Alamos used a 7-run rally in the fourth inning to pull away from Capital and win 11-1. In the second game, Los Alamos scored 8 runs in the third inning and cruised to a 14-1 victory.

The wins keep the Hilltoppers on top of the District 2-4A standings at the turn. With 6 games remaining in the district season, the Hilltoppers are 5-1 (11-9 overall) and one game and a tiebreaker ahead of Española Valley, although the two will still face off in a big doubleheader April 27 in the valley.
