Isotopes win in extra innings, 6-5
The Albuquerque Isotopes evened up their series with the Round Rock Express Wednesday night.
Albuquerque needed extra innings, but pushed a run across in the top of the 13th to pick up a 6-5 victory over the Express in Round Rock.
Neither team held the lead for more than 1-1/2 innings Wednesday, with Round Rock going up 2-0 after two but Albuquerque coming back to score two in the top of the third, then Albuquerque taking a brief 3-2 lead after 4-1/2 before Round Rock scored two in the bottom of the fifth.
In the top of the 13th, Matt Angle singled to lead off, then moved to second on an errant pickoff attempt. Tyler Henson bunted Angle over to third and Alex Castellanos drove Angle in two batters later.
Round Rock went down in order in the bottom of the 13th.
Albuquerque’s lead in the PCL American Southern division was cut down to one game after it lost 5-4 to Round Rock Tuesday. Albuquerque has still won 5 of its last 6.
