'Topes fall in extras

-A A +A

For the second straight ballgame, the Albuquerque Isotopes went into extra innings Thursday.
But, unlike in Wednesday’s game, the Isotopes came up on the short end of the stick.
Sacramento’s Alden Carrithers scored the tying and game-winning runs as the River Cats prevailed 6-5 in 11 innings.
Sacramento (33-21) can win the series tonight with a victory.
Following tonight’s series finale, the Isotopes (24-29) will head back to Albuquerque for a quick four-game homestand against Salt Lake starting Saturday night.
