Don Casperson of Los Alamos was named the Kiwanis Adviser of the Year after gaining the award at the Key Club’s District Convention in El Paso last weekend. A number of people nominated Casperson. Aspen Elementary School teacher Sharon Allen wrote, “This man is on-the-go constantly, supporting all ages of kids in our small community. ... He attends every meeting of every club he sponsors and that is usually four meetings a week.” Kathleen Boeritger, a chemistry teacher at Los Alamos High School, added, ”In the four years since I became the Key Club Academic Advisor, Don has never missed a meeting unless he was out of town.
