Is your home looking a little shabby? Are photos of houses in home and gardening magazines making you envious? There is a way to spruce up your home to make it camera-ready. All you need to do is head over to Central Park Square from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
REMAX is hosting its second annual Home and Garden show. Vendors, which range from The Finishing Touch to Los Alamos Landscaping and More will fill up the parking lot to offer advice, tips and ideas on how to improve people’s homes. In fact, the event will feature more than 20 exhibitors of home improvement and landscaping products and services.
Visitors will be able to meet with home improvement professionals and review product samples and before and after project photos. They will also be able to see a wide variety of products and services such as windows, siding, flooring, plumbing and lighting fixtures, solar technology, cabinets, countertops, closet systems, landscape design and more.
Besides the vendors, there will be prizes, food and live entertainment by the local band, Peace Meal.
“(People) have the opportunity to meet with home improvement professionals … collect literature and learn how to make the most of their home improvement dollars,” Lauren Earles, association broker, said.
Making improvement benefits are more than just skin deep; the benefits go beyond a home’s appearance.
“Home improvement is an important investment,” Earles said. “It’s an effort that offers home owners personal enjoyment (when the projects are completed) and helps improve the value of their homes.”
The home and garden show also benefits more than just the participants. It also offers local businesses a chance to shine. “They have the opportunity to display their wares, their skills and expertise,” Earles said.
Additionally, for the participants, they can browse through a lot of different businesses all in one spot. “It gives residents of Los Alamos an opportunity to gather a lot of information in a centralized location,” Earles said.
