Dear Editor,

“We must also recommit ourselves more broadly to ensuring that our daughters have the same rights and opportunities as our sons.” These are the words of President Obama commemorating the 36th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. I could not agree more with his words. I would also say that our sons should have the same rights and opportunities as our daughters. If a boy gets a girl pregnant and wants to keep the child, (any father’s right I would have thought) he should be allowed to accept that responsibility. Especially if the father of the pregnant daughter considers the baby in the womb to be a “punishment”!
