Thank you for the book donations

The staff at the Los Alamos Monitor would like to thank the community for their overwhelming response to the Pojoaque Intermediate School Book Drive. In just two weeks, we have collected hundreds of books. We are even running out of places to store them.
We are currently coordinating delivery of the books with the school librarian soon, so watch future editions of the Los Alamos Monitor for photos and updates on this exciting project.
In addition to our book donation box at the Los Alamos Monitor offices, we have also placed a donation box in the lobby of LANB. Those donating 10 or more books are eligible for a free 1-month subscription.
The second edition of the PVIS Yearling News is scheduled to print this weekend and with plans to deliver the new edition along with their first round of books. We continue to seek business sponsors for the newspaper.
Sponsorships are very affordable, and all proceeds are being donated as books to the Pojoaque Intermediate School’s library. Contact either Hope or April at 662-4185 to find out how you can help support and inspire young journalists.
Copies of their newspaper are also available at our office at 256 DP Road, for those who like to see how this project is coming along. Also, please like us on Facebook to follow the project’s progress.
