On September 4th, 2008, Gail Glover Terry left us to go do the next right thing, whatever that may be. Gail was an incredible woman who walked with her head high, her eyes wide, and her heart open. She maintained a deep respect for Mother Earth and surely is delighted to be seeing her differently now.
Her integrity was something she never compromised, she was confident in who she was and, like it or not, that’s what you got. It was a rare moment indeed that she thought of herself before others. Her ear was always available and her words encouraging and comforting like no other.
She was an incredible mother to two, a surrogate mother to many, and a steadfastly loyal friend to hundreds. To know her was to have a place in her heart, and was indeed a great privilege. More people will remember her fondly than she could have imagined, and her words and thoughts will resonate with (and sometimes haunt) those who knew her well.
The family will not be having a service, but would like those who knew her (you know who you are) to remember her in a way that she would enjoy (you know what that is).
