Taos play to take stage at Teatro Paraguas Studio

“The Lilac Minyan,” a play by Debora Seidman and produced by the Metta Theater of Taos, wil take to the stage May 2-4 at the Teatro Paraguas Studio, located at 3205 Calle Marie in Santa Fe.
Play times at 7:30 p.m. on May 2 and 3 at 2 p.m. May 4.
Tickets are $18 for general admission and $15 for seniors and students.

“The Lilac Minyan” is an award winning play by Seidman, which premiered at the New Works Festival in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 2000.  It was subsequently produced at Immigrant’s Theatre Project, New York, and the National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, Mass.
It recently completed a November 2013 run at Metta Theatre in Taos.
The cast included veteran film and TV actor Christopher Maher as Samuel and NYU trained actress Nena Salazar as Alison.
The play is about an aging Holocaust Survivor and a young Jewish woman meet in the hospital where both their partners are dying.
