Suggestions accepted through the weekend

-A A +A

Naming ideas should be submitted by Sunday

By Special to the Monitor

Suggestions from the public regarding new names for the county’s Airport Basin Site are still being accepted through the weekend. Naming ideas should be submitted to the county administrator by the deadline on Sunday.

Airport Basin Site is the new home of county and schools’ facilities and is located in the bowl-shaped basin north of De Colores Restaurant on N.M. 502. Suggestions can be e-mailed to lacadministrator@lacnm.us.

Visit the county’s Web site at www.losalamosnm.us for information on the buildings located at Airport Basin Site.

Residents are also invited to suggest new names for the roadway leading from N.M. 502 to the new Entrada Business Park and Airport Basin Site. If the council decides to rename the site, they could also decide to formally change the name of the roadway to more closely align with the new name.

This item is on the May 18 council meeting agenda at 7 p.m.  in White Rock at Fire Station 3.
