Students are invited to submit their written work poetry, musical lyrics, short stories, creative nonfiction, drawings, photos, excerpts from their novel, etc. for inclusion in the 2008 “Pajarito Literary Review” for ages 4-12 or “Moebius” for ages 13-18.Students’ typed or printed entry, two typed pages or less, must be received by Feb. 15.Organizers ask that only one-work be submitted per student. Some work may be excluded by editorial decision. If more are submitted, one will be chosen.This is not a contest; it’s an opportunity for young people to have their work published and read by hundreds of people.Submission forms for the literary publications are available at the youth services front desk at Mea Public Library.Form should be attached to students’ work. Return work to either Mesa Public Library or the White Rock Branch Library.E-mail submissions are encouraged. Send to forms and work to ysweb@lacnm.us.At 6 p.m. March 17, kids ages 4-12 and parents may join Mesa Public Library staff for the chance to read aloud selections from their work at the annual Young Author’s Reception. There will be a three-minute limit per person.Have some refreshments and enjoy live music plus a visit from a New Mexico author. At 6 p.m.
