Nikol Strother won her second Pace Race in a calendar month Tuesday, and did so with a prediction error that’s very tough to beat.
Strother finished with an error of just 1 second on the 3-mile course at the Pace Race, which started at Rocket Park in White Rock. Strother was also the fastest female finisher on the long course Tuesday with her time of 19 minutes, 41 seconds.
Also on the 3-mile course, Ted Romero finished in 19:47 and was the second-best predictor, missing by just 5 seconds.
Roy Cope had the next best prediction, 6 seconds off, and Heather Hughes finished 19 seconds off her time.
The fastest finishes on the 1-mile course were Tad Hughes (6:12) and Marin Kelly (6:41).
The next Pace Race will be Tuesday starting at the Quemazon Montessori School. Race time is 6 p.m. and 1- and 3-mile courses will be available.
