Pajarito Mountain plans to reopen for skiing Friday, said Ski Pajraito general manager Tom Long.
The mountain had temporarily suspended operations for the past couple of weeks because of a lack of snow.
According to its website, the mountain has a base of 21 inches with seven inches of new snow in the past week.
"Overall since we closed, we have gotten 11 to 12 inches of new snow," Long said.
The mountain is hosting an apres-ski event with the music of Felix Y Los Gatos as well as beer from the Santa Fe Brewing Company from noon- 5 p.m. Saturday.
No basketball polls this week
The New Mexico High School Coaches Association announced Wednesday it will not issue a new top 10 boys or girls basketball poll this week.
NMHSCA said because so many games around this state this week were postponed, due both to weather and natural gas shortage issues, it decided not to conduct a weekly poll.
In last week’s poll, Roswell was the top Class 4A girls team and Gallup was the top ranked 4A boys team. Los Alamos’ girls received two points in that poll.
Española Valley was the highest-ranked District 2AAAA school in both the boys and girls polls.
WR Little League registration sessions are next week
