Middle school tennis meeting is Thursday

A Los Alamos Middle School tennis organizational meeting is scheduled for Thursday.

The meeting is for all interested tennis players in grades 6-8. It will be held at 5 p.m. at the Los Alamos High School tennis courts behind Sullivan Field.

Boys, girls golf teams have Tuesday meeting

The Los Alamos Hilltopper boys and girls golf teams will hold team meetings immediately following the Los Alamos High School fall sports meeting.

The fall sports meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday. It will be held at the Duane Smith Auditorium.

Attendance at both meeting is mandatory for anyone interested in playing fall golf.

Golf practice is scheduled to begin Aug. 25 at Los Alamos Golf Course.

LAHS volleyball will play alumni in benefit match

The Los Alamos Hilltopper volleyball program will hold its Green and Gold scrimmage Aug. 21 at Griffith Gymnasium.

The scrimmage, between the 2008 team and an alumni team will start at 6:30 p.m.

Admission price is $2 for adults, $1 for students.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the volleyball program and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
