LAMS teams fall to St. Mike’sThe Los Alamos Middle School Hawk girls basketball teams dropped a pair of contests at St. Michael’s Tuesday.The Hawk seventh-graders fell to St. Michael’s Horsemen 14-7, while the Hawk eighth-graders dropped a 29-26 decision.In the seventh-grade contest, LAMS couldn’t find the basket against St. Mike’s, but the defense held the Horsemen down to keep it in the contest.McKenna Schoonover had five points for the Hawks, and Cristina Perez finished with two points.In the eighth-grade game, the Hawks had chances to win the game but couldn’t convert their free throws.Chase Ealey finished with a career-high 13 points for LAMS, and Jen Paul picked up five points. Katie Hemphill finished with four, while Marissa Higdon and Jenna Ortiz had two points apiece.
