Mountain Club swim team forming

The Mountain Club, a newly-sanctioned USA Swimming club in Los Alamos, is looking for interested participants.According to a press release, the Mountain Club’s mission is “to build the most competitive swim club in the Los Alamos through teamwork and individual excellence; to teach swimmers to gain confidence, discipline, commitment and sportsmanship; and to encourage parents to be involved in the development of children.”The team is coached by Anna Zhang.For more information, call Zhang at 662-1900 after 8 p.m.

R/C race set for todayThe Northern New Mexico Radio Controlled Car Club will hold an indoor race at Mountain School today.The race will run from 2-5 p.m. and will include 1/18th, 1/12th and 1/10th scale on-road cars.For more information, call 672-3072 after 5 p.m. or visit RCNM.net on the Internet.

Cheerleading camp setThe Pueblo of Pojoaque Wellness Center will hold a Christmas cheerleading camp.The cheerleading camp is scheduled for Dec. 26-28.For more information about the camp, call the PPWC at 455-9355 or 699-8987.
