Hilltoppers drop third straight
The Los Alamos Hilltopper boys basketball team was thumped by the St. Michael’s Horsemen Wedneday night.
Los Alamos fell behind 20-0 right from the get-go and fell to St. Michael’s 54-22 at Perez-Shelley Gymnasium in Albuquerque.
The loss was the third straight for Los Alamos followng its season-opening win last week. Los Alamos will play again Tuesday when it hosts Belen.
Cheer clinic is Saturday
The Los Alamos Hilltopper cheerleading team will hold a clinic Saturday.
The clinic is for any interested youth in grades 1-8. It will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Pueblo Complex gymnasium.

Half marathon set for Dec. 10
The Family YMCA of Los Alamos will hold its High Altitude Half Marathon and 5K Fun Run Dec. 10.
The run will start at the YMCA. Race time is 8 a.m.
Registrations are being accepted at the YMCA or online at www.laymca.org or active.com. Price for participation for the half marathon is $50 through Nov. 30 and $25 for the 5K.
The event will benefit the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign.
