KRSN to air hockey games Saturday

KRSN AM 1490 will broadcast Saturday’s Los Alamos Hilltopper hockey games live from Albuquerque.
Rick Picard and David Sutton will call Saturday’s games. The Hilltoppers will play Eldorado at 10 a.m. and Cibola at 4:30 p.m.
The games will also be streamed live on the Internet at krsnam1490.com.

Green/Gold scrimmage is tonight

The Los Alamos Hilltopper boys and girls basketball programs will host their annual Green/Gold Scrimmage tonight.
Both the boys and girls programs will have intrasquad scrimmages at Griffith Gymnasium. The event is free but donations for the programs will be accepted. Donations over $5 will receive a Hilltopper decal.
The scrimmage starts at 6 p.m.

Turkey Trot to benefit CROP

The annual Turkey Trot is scheduled for Sunday.
The Turkey Trot is a benefit run for the local CROP organization. It will start at Los Alamos Middle School at 2 p.m.
The run is 2.57 miles. The top 25 finishers will be recognized and all participants have a chance to win turkeys and pumpkin pies in a random drawing.

Half Marthon is Dec. 10

The Family YMCA of Los Alamos will hold its High Altitude Half Marathon and 5K Fun Run Dec. 10.
The run will start at the YMCA. Race time is 8 a.m.
Registrations are being accepted at the YMCA or online at www.laymca.org or active.com. Price for participation for the half marathon is $50 through Nov. 30 and $25 for the 5K.
The event will benefit the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign.

Volleyball open house is tonight

The NNM Fusion junior volleyball club will host an open house and parent information meeting tonight.
The meeting is for interested participants. It will be at Mountain Elementary School’s gymnasium starting at 6 p.m.
The Fusion is for all interested girls ages 12-17. Information on the club and USA Volleyball will be available and nets will be set up for players to play.
