Pasta dinner will benefit baseball program

The Los Alamos High School baseball program will hold a pasta dinner Thursday at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church.
The dinner is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Dinner includes pasta, bread, salad, dessert and drink.
Tickets for the pasta dinner are $6 in advance or $7 at the door.

LAHS boys soccer team holding meeting May 4

Los Alamos High School’s boys soccer team will hold an informational meeting  May 4.
The meeting will be at Sullivan Field starting at 6 p.m.
Players and parents of players interested in participating in the LAHS boys soccer program for the fall 2011 season are encouraged to attend.
Information about summer workout schedules and tryout dates will be given at the meeting.

LALL Opening Day is Saturday on North Mesa

Los Alamos Little League will hold Opening Day ceremonies Saturday.
Opening Day will start at noon at the Majors Field on North Mesa.
LALL teams will be introduced at the ceremonies. LALL will also set up baseball and softball equipment swap table, and a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle will be raffled off at the ceremonies by the Kiwanis Club.

Sullivan Field renovation starts May 12

Los Alamos High School’s athletic department announced that the installation of artificial turf at Sullivan Filed will start May 12.
Sullivan Field and the track will close from that time until the completion of the installation, which will be on or about Aug. 19.
During the installation of the turf, Mesa Field will also be closed. Mesa Field will be renovated into a new practice field for LAHS.
