Skurikhin wins Level 7 all-around

Katya Skurikhin of Los Alamos School of Gymnastics picked up four gold medals at the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges’ optional meet earlier this month.
Skurikhin dominated the Level 7 junior division, earning first place in the vault competition (9.30), uneven parallel bars (9.35) and floor exercise (9.15). Skurikhin also earned first all-around with her score 35.80.
The competition was held at Precision Gymnastics in Albuquerque.
Also at the event LASG Level 7 gymnast Luvina Lucero took third place on balance beam and was fifth in the all-around competition.

Sr. Olympics sign-ups are open
Registration for the Los Alamos Senior Olympic Games will be open throughout the month of March.
All interested men and women aged 50-plus make take part in the local Senior Olympic Games. There are 23 different traditional and non-traditional competitions to choose from.
Interested participants can register at the Family YMCA of Los Alamos.
