LA-Academy girls hoops game canceled
The Los Alamos Hilltopper girls basketball team has one less game to worry about this season.
Tuesday, Los Alamos High School announced the girls basketball game between Los Alamos and Albuquerque Academy had been dropped from the schedule.
The game was slated for Feb. 17, but Academy backed out, citing it had District 5AAAA games to finish before the end of the season.
Los Alamos and Academy were originally scheduled to play a nondistrict contest in Jan. 22, but that game was pushed back to February due to inclement weather.

The K of C held this year’s free throw contest Jan. 31 at Griffith Gymnasium. The competition was for local boys and girls ages 10-14.
