Atomic City shuttles to run during Saturday’s hockey game

Atomic City Transit will provide shuttle service to and from the Los Alamos County Ice Rink Saturday for the New Mexico Renegades-Cheyenne Stampede Junior ‘A’ hockey game.
The game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The shuttles, which will run from 5-7 p.m., are being used to alleviate parking issues at the rink. Shuttles can be picked up at the Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center parking lot.

Jr. Toppers clinics set for Saturday

The Jr. Toppers basketball skills clinics are scheduled for Saturday.
A session for preschoolers through second grade students is set for 9 a.m. at Mountain School. Students in grades 3-8 will be at Los Alamos High School, also starting at 9 a.m.
The clinics are free of charge and are for both boys and girls.

Beginning fencing class starts Tuesday at YMCA

Los Alamos Fencing Club announced it will start a new class for beginning fencers Tuesday.
Classes will be at 6:30 p.m. at the YMCA’s gymnasium.
To participate, athletes must be 10 years of age or older. Class size will be limited.
Registrations are being accepted at the YMCA’s front desk or at laymca.org. The YMCA provides all necessary equipment.
