Hilltopper hockey’s senior night is Friday
The Los Alamos Hilltopper hockey team will host its senior night Friday at Los Alamos County Ice Rink.
The senior night ceremony will include recognition of the team’s 12 seniors. The ceremony will begin 15 minutes before the game’s 8 p.m. start time.
The team’s seniors include John Alison, Drew Betts, Tim Branch, Billy Cooper, Dillon Coyne, Graham Delano, Devin Grider, Chase Havemann, Niko Meneakis, Chris Owens, Kurt Schramm and Brett Snow.
LA Little League meeting set for Feb. 9
Los Alamos Little League will hold an organizational meeting for the 2011 baseball and softball seasons Feb. 9.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Mesa Public Library’s meeting rooms 2 and 3.
Anyone interested in volunteering for LALL this year is encouraged to attend.

Race will benefit breast cancer research
The first Run for Her Life 5K and 10K runs will be held March 20.
The races will start at the Mesa Trailhead near East Park at 9 a.m.
Registration forms are available at several locations around the county and online at www.atomicrunners.com.
Proceeds from the race will go to benefit breast cancer research.

Racquetball registration closes Saturday
The Family YMCA of Los Alamos is currently accepting registrations for its adult racquetball league.
The league is designed so that participants may play at a mutually convenient time for players each week.
Registration is open to anyone 16 and older. The season runs from Feb. 14-April 30 and ends in a tournament.
Price for participation is $27 for YMCA members, $43 for nonmembers. Scholarships may be available from the United Way of Northern New Mexico.

Lobos hosting summer volleyball camp
The University of New Mexico is accepting registrations for its 2011 volleyball summer camp.
The camp will be held at the Johnson Center in Albuquerque. Registration is open at GoLobos.com. Campers registering early can save $25 off the price of advanced skills, setters and libero camps.
