Beginning fencing course registration is open
A beginning fencing course will start Feb. 1.
The beginning fencing class is designed for those with no previous fencing experience. Instruction will focus on footwork and basic blade control. Emphasis will be on the foil.
All necessary fencing equipment is provided.
Interested participants must be 10 years of age or older. Class size is limited.

K of C to host free throw contest Jan. 30
The Knights of Columbus, Council #3137, will hold its annual local free throw contest.
The K of C Free Throw Championship will be held Jan. 30 at Griffith Gymnasium. Competition starts at 1 p.m.
The competition, for boys and girls ages 10-14, is free of charge, but participants must have written parental consent.
Winners at the local level can advance to district, state and international competition.
Registration will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Griffith Gym.
