LAHS not selling advance tickets for Saturday
The Los Alamos High School athletic office won’t be selling tickets prior to 2 p.m. Saturday for the Los Alamos-Española Valley boys basketball game.Fans will be limited to 10 tickets per person. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold for the game.All tickets must be purchased at the Griffith Gymnasium ticket booth. Fans will be admitted starting at 3 p.m.Also, the athletic office is reminding fans they must come through the gym’s front doors. No one will be allowed through any other entrance.Los Alamos Public Schools staff members and will be allowed in with their IDs, as will those who have athletic passes.
Taos JV holds on to beat Los Alamos
On the stat sheet, it wasn’t too hard to see where the Taos Tiger junior varsity girls basketball team beat Los Alamos’ JV.In the second quarter, Taos outscored Los Alamos 14-3. Taos only managed four points in the third quarter, but held Los Alamos to that same total in its 36-31 win at Griffith Gymnasium Tuesday.The Hilltoppers came back scoring 15 in the final quarter, but it wouldn’t be enough.Shelby Courtright had eight points to lead Los Alamos’ JV, while Brianne Fanning and Samantha D’Anna each finished with five points.Yanels Autumn finished with 11 points for Taos, while Estrella Padilla picked up 10 points.
