Climbing wall open Friday at YMCA

The Family YMCA of Los Alamos will have its climbing wall available to the general public and Friday.
The open wall will go from 9 a.m.-noon. Anyone interested is welcome to participate. Climbing and gear rental will be $5 for non-YMCA members.

Trail Runs’ registration is open online

The ninth annual Jemez Mountain Trail Runs’ registration for its 50-mile and 50-kilometer races are now open online.
The JMTR is scheduled for May 24. The races go up toward Pajarito Mountain and toward the Valles Caldera.
Registration for the half-marathon, the third of the three-race series, will start Feb. 1.

LAYSL accepting registrations for spring

Registration is now open for the spring 2014 Los Alamos Youth Soccer League season.
Online registration can be done through Feb. 10.

Lobo baseball camp set for this weekend

The fourth session of this year’s University of New Mexico Lobo Baseball Camps is open for registration.
The Lobo Baseball Camps’ primary focuses is to teach fundamentals and for older players to perform in front of college-level coaches.
The Lobos’ elite hitters’ camp, for high-school aged players, is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Lobo Field in Albuquerque.
Price for participation in the camps is $150 per player.
UNM will also host a team camp in January.
Interested participants must fill out waiver forms at GoLobos dot com before participating.
