Christmas Lights Run is tonight

The Los Alamos Triatomics Club is hosting its 2013 Christmas Lights Runs.
The runs will take place at various spots around Los Alamos. They will be twice per week, Mondays and Wednesdays.
Runs will begin at 6:15 p.m. Runners should be stretched and ready at that time. Wearing light-colored or reflective clothing is encouraged. Runs are non-competitive and are not for endurance-building.
Tonight’s run will start at Conoco Hill. The run will go through the Arizona Avenue and Quemazon areas.
Anyone interested is welcome to participate.

Climbing wall open for everyone at YMCA Dec. 23 and Dec. 27

The Family YMCA of Los Alamos will have its climbing wall available to the general public Dec. 23 and Dec. 27.
The open wall will go from 9 a.m.-noon both days.
Anyone interested is welcome to participate.
Climbing and gear rental will be $5 for non-YMCA members.

Trail Runs registration open online

The ninth annual Jemez Mountain Trail Runs’ registration for its 50-mile and 50-kilometer races are now open online.
The JMTR is scheduled for May 24. The races go up toward Pajarito Mountain and toward the Valles Caldera.
Registration for the half-marathon, the third of the three-race series, will start Feb. 1.

Lobos hosting baseball camps

The third and fourth sessions of this year’s University of New Mexico Lobo Baseball Camps are open for registration.
The Lobos’ all-skills camp is set for Saturday and Sunday, and the elite hitters’ camp is scheduled for Dec. 27-28 at Lobo Field in Albuquerque. The all-skills camp is for players aged 6-12 and the elite hitters’ camp for high school players.
Price for participation in the camps is $150 per player.
Interested participants must fill out waiver forms at GoLobos.com before participating.
