Class of 1973 honoring its football team Friday

The Los Alamos High School Class of 1973 is celebrating its District 1-4A winning football team of 1972 with a get-together Friday.
The get-together is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. at the Dixie Girl Restaurant.
In 1972, the Hilltoppers, which were not an exceptionally talented team, but put together a 10-win season to capture the title.
The public is invited to attend the get-together, particularly anyone who played football for Los Alamos between 1970-1980.

Final Pace Race of year set for tonight

The final Pace Race of the 2013 season is scheduled for tonight.
The Atomic City Roadrunners will host the Pace Race starting at the trailhead of the Canyon Rim Trail.
The race is scheduled for 6 p.m. Anyone who is interested in participating may do so.

Fencing class starts tonight at YMCA

The Family YMCA of Los Alamos’ beginning fencing class is scheduled to start tonight.
The class if for those with no previous fencing experience. Those with questions can contact Tom Hill at 672-1058.
